For the 2020–2021 season, we’ve expanded our range with a number of new products and developments. Part of this relates to products and solutions that help to reduce the spread of Covid-19.
The new 500 kW boiler was developed for temporary applications. During the development process, we formulated a number of requirements that our boiler must meet: robustness, compact size, ease of operation and maintenance, efficiency and reliability.
Robust and compact design
The boiler is built on a sturdy galvanised frame and protected all round with a robust construction. All components are of grade-A quality and the design is based on the mobile use of the boiler. With a footprint of less than 4.5 m2, the 500 kW boiler is very compact and also easy to install at construction sites and events where space is often limited. In addition, the unit has a width of only 1.2 m and also offers great logistical advantages.
Simple operation and maintenance
The boiler has fully automatic operation. The user only needs to set the return temperature of the water. Based on the set return temperature of the external circuit, the boiler has fully automatic operation in determining the required capacity and the requested temperature. The most important maintenance points are equipped with doors and panels that can be opened quickly by maintenance technicians.
Safety and efficiency
The boiler is equipped with a protected double heating circuit as standard, which transfers heat to the external circuit via a plate exchanger. In the design, the internal circuit is always filled and potentially dangerous situations cannot arise when installing the boiler. Thanks to the internal water tank with a capacity of more than 650 l, the boiler is very stable and there are hardly any temperature fluctuations in the heat output via the plate exchanger. This is very beneficial to its high efficiency of over 95%.
In addition to the boiler, we’ve developed matching robust mobile fan coil units with three capacities: 15, 25 and 50 kW. They can also be used for cooling. They have a light yet sturdy construction on wheels and are equipped with a thermostat, cord with moulded plug, air vent and adjustable louvre grille.
The fan motors are automatically and continuously regulated to the set discharge air temperature. The stainless-steel Camlock supply and discharge connections are equipped with ball valves. The units have a low noise level and are extremely efficient and powerful.
As a nice addition to the successful IMAC 2000 and IMAC 4000, we’ve developed the IMAC 3000. This heater is equipped with a powerful EC radial fan that supplies 18,000 m3 of air under high pressure. The heater is fitted as standard with a two-stage burner that delivers a power of 300 kW at the highest setting. Of course, the new IMAC 3000, just like the IMAC 2000 and IMAC 4000, is extremely reliable, stable and durable.
The demand for large-capacity electric heaters is increasing; electricity is becoming cheaper in relation to fossil fuels and availability is virtually problem-free. To meet this demand, Thermobile has developed a mobile electric heater with a high capacity of 72 kW. The heater can be switched in a total of eight steps of 9 kW, while the fan has four setting options.
According to European regulations, the air in rooms where a lot of particulate matter is released and people work must be filtered. Thermobile offers a robust mobile air cleaner equipped with two pre-filters, a HEPA 13 filter and a very powerful fan. To measure the contamination of the filters, the air purifier is equipped with a differential pressure meter. The fan can be set to two speeds.
By recirculating already heated indoor air, considerable energy savings can be made. To prevent aerosols that may contain virus particles from being spread further, we’ve developed a filtration system that can be connected to our IMA RHP and IMAC mobile heaters. The system combines the supply of 35% fresh outdoor air with recirculation of 65% indoor air purified by HEPA filters. In this setup, the filter cube can also be used at times when heating is not required, when it’s desirable to bring fresh air into the room and filter the indoor air with HEPA filters. The connected heater then works as a fan.
Providing space with outdoor air, while at the same time removing inside air without much heat loss, is possible with our air treatment system. The cross-flow exchanger, with which fresh air is fed into the room and at the same time the “dirty” air is removed from the room, ensures a transfer of more than 90% of the heat from the extracted air to the fresh outdoor air. As winter approaches, our mobile heat recovery units can help you keep your ventilation up to standard without losing all the heat.
